Greetings from The Princess!
A dear friend presented me with this tiara recently. He remembered a story I once shared about wanting a tiara when I was a little girl. How sweet is that?

Hello! How do you like my new hat?

Okay, so it's new to ME!

I bought it at Goodwill for the pink flowers. But I had to model it first....

Farewell to February 2010, the second snowiest February on record for our area.

I must admit, I am not sorry to see it go, even though I usually LOVE snow.

Happy Valentine's Day

In honor of the occasion, I photographed some hearts around the cottage for you....

Love this fragrance of Yankee Candle, but it's not in production anymore, so I only bring it out at Valentine's Day.

Bluebirds & Roses are always appropriate....

Very fragile tiny heart ornaments....

Even the birds helped me out in my quest for hearts, by turning this square of suet on their feeder into a heart! How charming!

This time of year always inspires me to refresh and renew my surroundings. It might be as simple as "fouffing" a current vignette, or perhaps creating a new one.

Not sure if I am ready, but our dining room now is! :)

In the meadow, we can build a snowman......

I collect vintage snowmen, and I placed them in my china hutch......

I think they are happy there!

The tree is decorated!

The 9 ft tree in the living room, that is. I wanted it to have a vintage feel this year, so I used nearly 1000 vintage glass ornaments, strands of old mercury glass beads, colored lights, and old-fashioned icicles! I want to add my vintage Santa collection 'neath the bottom too.... we'll see :)

Thanks so much for all your well-wishes, thoughts and prayers for my stepdad. Each and every one are much appreciated!

It's beginning to look a "little" like Christmas.....

Thank you so much for your kind emails, letting me know I was missed. I am sorry to have been away so long.... I normally don't like to post unhappy things on my blog, so I tend to just disappear for awhile when something is going on. My stepdad had a stroke and was in the hospital over Thanksgiving, so we've been rather preoccupied. I like to keep my blog a happy cheerful place to visit, but wanted you to know what was going on, since you were so kind in inquiring about me! He is home now, and under the loving care of my sweet momma!
