This time of year always inspires me to refresh and renew my surroundings. It might be as simple as "fouffing" a current vignette, or perhaps creating a new one.

Not sure if I am ready, but our dining room now is! :)

In the meadow, we can build a snowman......

I collect vintage snowmen, and I placed them in my china hutch......

I think they are happy there!

The tree is decorated!

The 9 ft tree in the living room, that is. I wanted it to have a vintage feel this year, so I used nearly 1000 vintage glass ornaments, strands of old mercury glass beads, colored lights, and old-fashioned icicles! I want to add my vintage Santa collection 'neath the bottom too.... we'll see :)

Thanks so much for all your well-wishes, thoughts and prayers for my stepdad. Each and every one are much appreciated!

Thank you so much for your kind emails, letting me know I was missed. I am sorry to have been away so long.... I normally don't like to post unhappy things on my blog, so I tend to just disappear for awhile when something is going on. My stepdad had a stroke and was in the hospital over Thanksgiving, so we've been rather preoccupied. I like to keep my blog a happy cheerful place to visit, but wanted you to know what was going on, since you were so kind in inquiring about me! He is home now, and under the loving care of my sweet momma!
