2011

The Year in Pictures January

A time to reflect on the beauty and wonder of the past year, and the hope of the New Year to come.

February
A holiday filled with hearts, love, and romance!

March
Spring arrives and thoughts are drawn to roses and other such delights

April

Time for sweet bunnies and Easter eggs

May
My birth month, and a re-birth occurs in nature as flowers spring to life.

June
Welcome Summer! Time for bike rides and lazy afternoons in the garden

July
Yard sales and flea markets are a fun way to spend a summer day and find treasures for my home, like this bluebird cheese keeper a friend spotted for me.

August

A summer's work pays off as roses flourish by the window, able to be enjoyed from the comfort of a cool home.

September
The summer is coming to an end, and a peaceful feeling envelopes our home as my favorite season begins.

October
The flowers are fading, but are still beautiful

November
With its golden hues and muted shades brings a warmth to our home, in spite of the cooling temperatures.

December
My favorite month brings Christmas decor to our home, like these skates made by my friend Nikki.

I hope you have enjoyed this little "year in review" through my photographs.

Thank you all so much for your continued friendship, and the Happiest of New Years to you and yours!!

The table is set for Christmas Eve, with these sweet little Nutcrackers standing guard. It's almost here!
~Secret Santa Swap~
Received this GORGEOUS vintage tablecloth yesterday from my Secret Santa! I think it goes perfectly with my pink Christmas!

~Blue Blue Blue Christmas~
My little blue Christmas tree. I bought it at the after-Christmas sales last year for five dollars! I decided to decorate it in bluebirds (and pink ones and white ones)... pretty much anything blue and pink was in order, including some vintage Putz houses.

Vintage Snowmen, adorned in pastels, march around the base of the tree....

Sugary bells serve as a tree topper....

A vintage tissue bluebird is a prized addition, along with an old glass ornament with a bluebird painted on it

She's not pink or blue, but she had feathers, so this little vintage angel also flew onto the branches of the little blue tree.

Hope you're having a lovely merry Christmas week! :)

Whispers of Christmas
I'm still enjoying decorating. I will have more pics to share once we get a little sunshine... in the meantime, here's one I took with my camera phone.

The Stockings Were Hung..... Stocking I made from a rose quilt, along with a vintage embroidered linen. Embellished with shimmery ribbons and pearls, available in my shoppe.
I am really enjoying decorating our home for Christmas; how about you?
