Pitcher Makeover This is the metal pitcher that I made over today..... thought it would be pretty in a pale aqua with some pink roses.....
(scroll down for the "before")

Here's the pitcher "before".... not necessarily awful, but it didn't really go with my decor. Seeing as how I originally purchased it at Big Lots for $3.99 (the tag is still on the bottom ;) I didn't mind painting over it.

I'm quite pleased with the "after"....... The paint was a free sample I ordered from Valspar, and I already had the decal and pitcher! Inexpensive makeover!!

Hello my little magnolia blossom!A stop at Goodwill earlier today netted these two vintage framed prints.
I like how the shabby frames include a little blue to pick up the background of the flowers.

Thank you for the birthday wishes for my mom..... we'll be going out this weekend for a family celebration for her and for Andrew. :)

~Happy Birthday, Mom~
Today is my Mom's 77th Birthday! This pic of us was taken just two years ago..... no one can ever believe she's in her 70's. She is beautiful and energetic, and I love and admire her greatly. She is the most giving and generous person I know.
I chose this vintage postcard for today because it combines her favorite flower, the yellow rose, with mine (which you all know is the pink rose! :)
Wishing her, and all of you, a lovely day!

A pretty bouqet I received from a friend a couple of months ago. I sat them aside, as they were in the vase, and look how lovely they dried! :)

Happy Birthday to my firstborn Andrew, who is 25 today!
I gave him bubbles again this year, and told him "Always celebrate the child in you."
This is a pic of me with him just last month, we went to some March Madness games together.
P.S. I still like blowing bubbles.....

I found this cute little vintage spice container at my fave antique shoppe..... I knew it would be perfect for holding some of the wild violets that are happily peppering our lawn right now.

Tin = $2 ... Wild Violets = Free ... Enjoying the Simple things = Priceless

Vintage Sewing Box

I have a weakness for vintage floral/pastel hatboxes or sewing boxes. I can admit it.

Bought this one at the Flea Market Extravaganza last fall. This is a pic (above)of what it looks like inside.

Vintage Love!
