The Lilacs are Blooming!!

I love it when the lilacs bloom! We have some in the purple family, above, and then one we planted by our house that is supposed to be yellow, below. Have you ever seen a yellow lilac? Well, I can't say that I have either, as this one blooms PINK!! :)

The Sweet Williams are blossoming in the front flower bed....
And the cherry blossom tree that we planted last year, survived the winter and has beautiful pink blossoms!

My oldest, Andrew, had a birthday Thursday. Here he is at my mom's house with his gf Allison. My mom's birthday was Sunday, so we celebrated them together.
Hope you are having a happy week!

My mom and I had a little outing last week, and stopped in my favorite shabby shoppe. I was trying not to buy anything, but spotted this embroidered piece with bluebirds, for only a dollar. Could I resist? Of course not!
So I thought I'd snap some photos of bluebirds I have around our home. When I say "bluebirds", it doesn't have to be an *official* bluebird -- just a bird that's blue!!

These little S&P's are among the very first bluebirds I bought when I started collecting them.

This little pick is also featured in my blog header.

A pretty painting.

Decals with bluebirds and roses.....

Hope you are having a pleasant week.
How was your Easter? Ours was quite lovely! :)

Happy Easter!
Did you ever make one of these bunny cakes? The boys, my mom, and I made one every year. They are really fun, especially with kids. (And they are DELICIOUS too!!) Ours never looked the same from year to year -- sometimes we decorated the bowtie with jelly beans, but here we've used chocolate chips -- crooked chocolate chips, I might add! :)
This is a picture from Easter the year I turned nine. I liked pink even then, as you can see. The little dog is my childhood pet "Penny". She was a sweetie, and of course HAD to be in the photos!
Hope you and yours have a blessed Easter!!
