You Say it's Your Birthday?!!

Well, Happy Birthday to Ya!

Please forgive what may appear as a very self-indulgent post, but I am FIFTY today. And guess what? I feel great!! I am happy, alive, blessed and thankful.
(I am also now confident enough to share current photos, as all of these are. No hiding behind 20-year old images of myself. That also feels great!)

Thank you all for being a part of my life every day, and for sharing so much of yourselves with me, for your encouragement and friendship.
It IS a Wonderful Life.

Sweet vintage pink floral tray, extravaganza find! This is a very special week for me.... Thursday is something BIG. Can you guess what? Here is a clue.... This is Baby Becca on my very first birthday, with my doll Suzy. Look at my right hand, I am feeding her a bottle, and I probably still took one myself! :)

Vintage Perfume Bottle

Another extravaganza find......

Added to my vanity, along with these old sachets, with original box, I found at my fave shabby shoppe recently. I like the box almost as much as the sachets!

Happy Sunday! Hope you have a great week!

By vintage hats obsessed......

One of the things I had my eye out for at the Antiques Extravaganza was vintage hats with pretty flowers for my lace cuff projects. Ahhh, this one was just the type I was looking for!
Of course, I always have to have a little fun modeling them first!
More finds tomorrow!

GORGEOUS Vintage Yard-Long Roses
Definitely the find of the weekend.....
I spotted this Saturday, and made a mental note to come back for it.... barely got outside the booth and knew I would regret it if I missed out, so I walked back over and bought it!

I think I could have sold it several times over before I got it to the car!

Here it is in our home..... I tried it out in about four different spots, and this one above the stairwell seemed made for it.

Thanks for the input on the "whooziwhatzit" in the last post. I'm still gathering ideas, and might even photograph some of them. So far we have birdcage cover, toaster cover, and now a head-covering for when you are wearing curlers to bed (that one should make for an interesting photograph ;)
Stop by again tomorrow for more extravaganza finds!

More Extravaganza Finds!! It's hard for me to resist anything with this shade of blue..... this vase was no exception........ and this little child's tin cup and saucer, which has a sweet fairy on it... well, it had to come home with me!
.... along with this gorgeous lace whooziwhatzit..... too big for a head covering.... shaped more like a toaster cover ~ but would a toaster cover be this frilly and romantic and beautiful? Perhaps!
Of course, I had to put the vase to immediate use with some peonies, roses, and honeysuckle from my garden.....
A perfect spring bouqet!!
Stop by tomorrow for more flea market finds! :)

I was able to go Friday AND Saturday and came home with lots of goodies, pics of which I'll be sharing with you all this week!
Hope you had a lovely weekend too! :)

Pink Roses! My favorite!!

My oldest Andrew (R), brought me a dozen pale pink roses for Mother's Day!
Here I am happily holding them, along with my youngest Brad, and my own dear mother. We went out to dinner after Church and posed for this photo. (no, we didn't go to the McDonald's you see in the background! But that would have been okay too; I just love being with my family :)

And, oh yes, Brad is now sporting a mohawk. I really don't mind, I think it's kind of cool. His Grandma wasn't quite as sure about it though!

Interesting how the shade changes slightly in different lighting.....

Hope you had a Happy Mother's Day and an enjoyable weekend!

*New* Pretties from my favorite shabby shoppe.......
Saturday, I went to the grand re-opening of "A Royal Nest", formerly a Feathered Nest.Amy was closed for about a month while she relocated, and I was having serious withdrawal! But I made up for it!

Pink embroidered His and Hers towels ~ perfect for our bathroom ~Look at all the pretties I found!! The background is four vintage curtain panels that I think will be perfect for my shabby camper makeover!

Two vintage sachets, still in their original but sweetly-faded box....

I also spent some time g-sale-ing with my hubby and our oldest.... I found a karaoke machine, and it is SO much fun.

I had a great weekend, and I hope you did too! Hope you are having a wonderful week!
I love May!!
