& A Different Kind of Post
This is the photo from which my current blogger profile pic is taken. The smiling boy is my older brother Mark, on the occasion of his kindergarten graduation.
I had just turned four years old and told my mom that I wanted a graduation robe too. Being the wise and patient mother that she was, she told me to don my quilted robe and that could be my gown. I'm not positive, but I think that's a rabbit's foot in my hand, serving as my "tassel".
I love this picture and the many things it represents to me...... the love & pride I have for my brother (my only sibling), the wisdom and kindness of my mother...... and my ability of being so easy to please (or easily fooled?!) which I still am! :)
(And no, I didn't wear the robe to the ceremony, it was for the photo op only! ;)

This is a precious memory and picture. Your mother was very wise indeed. Now what is your brother saying as he holds his hands out? He looks very happy.
How sweet! Black and white photos have a unique way of making life seem much simpler. Wouldn't you agree?
Hi Miz Becca!!
I'm here from Rosa's place where I see you won her chocolates...she referenced your other blog but I see this one is updated more so I popped over here...I love all your pretty things!!!
:-D
What a sweet story. You were a little cutie pie. Do you scrapbook? That's a perfect photo and memory to scrap.
What a lovely story! You look so cute in your "robe". You had a very creative and loving Mother!!!

Cute story! The reason I love turnips today is because when I was little, they told me they were potatoes :_
Becca,
What a lovely place you have here! I found you via FreckledFarm's blog, and am already glad I did. Who doesn't need a glimpse of pink pretties everyday? (And how did you get so beautifully blessed as to win TWO Valentine's Day prizes?) :D
Hi! I'm Brin. I just wanted to pop by and say hello. Thanks for adding some cheer to my frozen-pipes Friday morning!
