Hello, Friends! It looks like our boys will have to find their own transportation if they want to go to the Big Apple....
I wish I had a winning headline today, but unfortunately, we did not win. CBS said it was the closest vote ever in their three years of doing Living Room Live. The winner had 36% of the vote, so we couldn't have been too far behind!

We did find out that the winner is a radio DJ who has produced eight of his own CDs, one of which features the song he performed for the competition. He has had his songs played on over 250 radio stations.

So, the fact that we were able to almost knock out someone with that much exposure and following, really speaks to how much your support and voting helped. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate your taking the time to vote for our boys!

We also think it speaks to the talent of our guys. We are so incredibly proud of these young men. Whenever they play a *gig* (dig my music lingo! ;) we get comments from the sound guys, sponsors, etc., about how polite and well mannered our boys are. For that, we are thankful. We are very blessed.

Awwww I'm so sorry to hear they didn't win but as you said, coming in so close to someone who has had a lot of exposure already means a lot!! Tell them not to give up, their turn will come:-) xox

Bummer that they had to go against someone already in the business. Maybe they will have another chance next year or maybe this is all they need for a boost. How well they did, even if they didn't win, speaks volumes. I am proud of my nephew and his band!!

Hi Becca,
It almost doesn't seem fair, that they were up against a semi professional, with radio stations behind him.
They did great considering that. It's amazing that they almost knocked that guy out of the competition. I think they will go very far. My husband is really inot music, and he said that they sounded great!!!
Good job guys!

Becca, I watched the CBS early show yesterday and waited & waited to the very end. I held my breath, prayed, and crossed my fingers..I was sad they did not win, they are very good. I hope better things are yet to come for the guys. I wish them the best! ~Mary~
