Wipeout

Tired of winter? Enjoy some summer WIPEOUT music with the guys! Brad's on the left this time. :)

Brad and I went thrifting this evening --

I haven't been in probably at least a month! I wasn't looking as deeply as usual -- out of practice, perhaps? And I spotted this little vintage framed print (on the right in top photo). Well, fortunately that spurred me on to look into the pictures a little further, when I uncovered the vintage pastel one on the left, in an old shabby white frame!! Wooo-hooooo!!

Then I went into the clothing section -- I'm always looking for fancy old dresses or lingerie that I can use in projects -- when I spotted this vintage quilted robe/dressing gown!

It is the prettiest pale blue aqua with satiny trim and covered buttons! I don't know if I'll
1) display it
2) wear it
or
3) sell it
But I do know it's a beauty!!
Too bad I didn't take photos of what Brad bought. Perhaps I'll share that another day. I think you will smile! :)

YAY for Bluebirds!!

The top photo is one of my "days of the week" towels that I found on eBay. I've been wanting a set of these for years. I have this hanging on an old metal cabinet in our kitchen, and I try to remember to change them out each day.

And speaking of bluebirds, I wanted to share with you something special I received in the mail this week....

My bloggy friend Rosemary sent me this adorable bluebird card........ she was shopping at the Rose Bowl Flea Market when she spotted this little beauty and thought of me! And then she bought it and sent it to me!!

Isn't it cute? And it's never even been used. Here's a peek at the inside.

Thank you, Rosemary, your kindness has brought me "bluebirds of happiness"!! :)

Hello! Thank you for coming back to visit, even though I've been all too absent lately!

Today is cold but sunny, so was a great opportunity to take some indoor photos with the natural light. The top one is of a vignette atop a little footstool in the living room. I added the angel quote; I love cherubs and angels.

The other photo is of a Christmas gift I received from a dear friend, a little hanging pillow. The colors are perfect for our living room. It has the sweetest ribbon embroidery.

Don't you love this holiday? One reason I love it so much is that the decorations go so perfectly with my romantic decor!!

Slowly but surely, the Christmas decor is being replaced by Valentine's Decor, such as this mercury glass vase filled with pink roses, and a vintage Valentine wish. I hope to be adding lots of Valentine pretties to my website very soon; I will let you know when I do!! This is the latest issue of Romantic Country, one of my favorite magazines! Soft, romantic decor....... and this issue features the pretty decor of two of my friends, Karla and Cathy, among the sweetest, most talented ladies you'd ever want to know! They have achieved my dream, to be featured in a magazine, and they have both done that several times! :)
