Saturday's Finds!
Chris and I planned on going to an auction Saturday. He's been working alot, and we thought we needed a day of "play". We perused the ads and found an auction that appeared to have goodies for both of us (aka old tools and "guy things" for him and pretties for me). Alas, the auction was not what it was advertised to be, and we left. We already had our cooler packed with drinks and sandwiches for the day, so what to do? Drive to Indiana to an antique mall, that's what!!
Here are some closeups of the goodies we (I) found. :)
Vintage Pink Rose Platter
Old Fabric-Covered Box
Old Sugar Shaker ~ Minus the Cork ~ Will display in our kitchen
Rusty Old Lunchbox from the Sixties ~ I don't know that I've ever seen a prettier lunchbox, despite the rust. I'll use it for storage, but will have to paint the inside first -- it's as rusty as the outside!! :)
Vintage Framed Rose Print
I also purchased a bag of old calling cards, which I'll feature in an upcoming post.
Thanks for visiting!!

To bad the auction didn't pan out, but you sure go some great things anyway! I've never seen a lunchbox like that either! The frame on the rose print is gorgeous, as if picture wasn't pretty enough!

Hi Becca,
Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I knew I would love your blog just by the name. Then your header came up and I loved that, too. After reading some of your posts, I gotta make you a "keeper." Thanks again!
Patricia :o)

The vintage lunch box is great!!
The bad auction was a blessing in disguise!! All your goodies are beautiful, makes me wish I still lived in Indiana! I could find lots of good stuff at antique malls there!! Where in Indiana did you go?

Hi Becca! More great finds! I've never seen a lunch box like that anywhere. How pretty. Love the floral picture too. Lucky the first auction wasn't what you expected or you wouldn't have found these! Have a great day - Jeannette

Absolutely LOVE the lunchbox!! But, as one who has been to the 1960's....I bet your lunchbox is circa 1950's.
