A Thrifting Day A call this week from a friend to see if I wanted to go thrifting was met with great enthusiasm! I found a vintage sewing basket, in a pale blue.... (some of these finds were from my favorite antiques shoppe)
Sweet vintage angel....
Old blue quilted glove box and a "hat" which is a blue bow with netting.

A vintage "silent butler" or crumb tray, that I will use for cleaning up all my paper scraps at my studio work table. (I am messy when creating :)Vintage Meyercord decals of sweet kittens, bunnies, and ducks.

Vintage Christmas Card with faded ribbon.... In one of my favorite color combos of pink and green.
Most of all, a fun afternoon with a friend!! :)

Does sound like fun!! You find the most marvellous things! I have that hat in dark blue, it came in one of the hat boxes I shared on my blog. I will have to take pictures of the hats that came in those hat boxes sometime.

You have the sweetest blog. I am going to come back here more often.
I wish while it is still fresh in your mind you could blog on how you changed your background. I want to change mine but am afraid I will lose everything.
Yours looks very nice.

Hi Becca.. You scored big time on your shopping trip. What lovely vintage goodies you found. I just love those vintage sewing boxes and handkerchief/glove boxes. I have several of them myself and they make wonderful display pieces and are so useful for storing odds and ends.

Have a great weekend!!

Love thrifting! You found some beauties. A great idea using your silent butler for paper scraps! Thanks for stopping by to see my shabby white piano. Painting around the keys is tricky. I depressed the keys with my left hand while painting with my right hand. I used a very small brush, so it took some time, especially 3 coats!

Hi Becca! Look at the price of those decals $.29! Those were the days; probably $3-4 now! Looks like you found quite a few good things. Always fun to get away from laundry for a while!!! Glad you had a nice day - Sincerely, Jeannette
