Vintage Rose~Covered Sewing BoxThis great old sewing box came home to live with me today! The top is quilted and not striped, that's just shadows from the sun streaming through the blinds (gorgeous autumn day today! :)
When I lifted the lid, this is what I saw:

Bonus vintage sewing supplies!!There's something about old fabric~ or paper~covered boxes that calls to me.
And, of course I always answer! :)Hope you are having a happy day!!

Dearest Becca,

Thank you so much for your caring comments. I'm so sorry for your lose as well. I have one other friend who lost her husband unexpectedly two years ago. Only those who have had such a loss truly know the devastating pain. I've lost babies, parents, siblings, and best friends, but never have I known overwhelming grief like this.

Becca, thank you so much for your kind comments about Cocoa. It is a very sad loss, our grief is beyond words. My daughter asked me to do this for Cocoa and she is so pleased to share his life with my friends. She was very proud of him.

Your sewing box is awesome. When I sold antiques anything vintage about sewing was always gone quickly. It is like a connection to th past to imagine who might have lovingly used those items.

My sisters are still in the antique business and their business name is 'Bluebird Antiques.'They sell in Atlanta, in a mall, on e-bay and the Don Scott Antique Market. It is a monthly show in Atlanta. They too love bluebirds.

Hugs...Jeanne
