Tube Socks & Socket Wrenches?
My husband took me to a flea market yesterday, that I was sure would be a big dud, full of boxes of tube socks and cheap tools.
Yeah....... I was wrong. He was right. I can admit it.
Blue and Pink seemed to be the theme of the day's finds, including the pretty vintage ticking in the background.

Don't know why, but I'm always on the lookout for vintage butter pats....
This sweet little box is from Lerner...... Does Lerner still exist? When I was a teenager, it was a treat to get clothes from Lerner. In Junior's size 7 or 9. Ah yes, those were the days.
This wedding cake topper isn't really "vintage"; it's from the 80's, but will be fun to remake into something "Valentine-y" because of the heart arch above them. I like how she looks a little shy. :)
The lace panels in the background also came from Goodwill. There are four of them, and they are kind of short ~ perfect for tucking in the edge of a chair or table. (They'd also look pretty in our camper windows, but I somehow don't think Chris would agree!! :)
Button Jar
Here are the last of the "Nikki gifts"..... she likes old buttons, so I embellished this jar and filled it with some of my collection....
She also likes old tins for storage, so I was pleased to find this "Sweets" tin, in which I, of course, placed more buttons.....
This vintage postcard (in newer frame) reminded me of Nikki and our friendship.
Thought she might enjoy this old "rain bonnet" in a teeny-tiny suitcase, to carry in one of her pretty vintage purses.
Just a couple more Christmas-y things before we go.....
I painted this little cottage for her (have changed the name over the door to protect the innocent ;)
Next post we'll be back to business as usual -- I'm taking down Christmas today, so should have some regular decor to share!

Vintage "Greetings" Seal
"Old-Time"y Rose Stickers 
When I received Nikki's name as my Secret Santa recipient, I decided to make something special for her.....
A doll created from a photograph of her..... Nikki is quite photogenic, so I had several photos to choose from that would work well for my project.... I made the photo "sepia-toned" to give it a vintage effect.
I added some German scrap to serve as her "head-dress".....
A vintage crochet lace piece serves as the skirt.... I tried to position it to look as though she is holding up her skirt in a ladylike fashion.....
Some vintage tinsel, a rose bouqet, and a floral paper base complete the project........
