My mom and I had a little outing last week, and stopped in my favorite shabby shoppe. I was trying not to buy anything, but spotted this embroidered piece with bluebirds, for only a dollar. Could I resist? Of course not!
So I thought I'd snap some photos of bluebirds I have around our home. When I say "bluebirds", it doesn't have to be an *official* bluebird -- just a bird that's blue!!

These little S&P's are among the very first bluebirds I bought when I started collecting them.

This little pick is also featured in my blog header.

A pretty painting.

Decals with bluebirds and roses.....

Hope you are having a pleasant week.
How was your Easter? Ours was quite lovely! :)

Hey Becca!
Who could resist $1. That is adorable.
I haven't run across any bluebird stuff for awhile. You must have bluebird radar!
Thanks for stopping by,
Rosemary

I think vintage embroidery is just so cool. I really appreciate the work someone put into it. I would not have wanted to leave it behind for a dollar either!

I'm glad you found another bluebird pretty to add to your collection. I know your pics don't even scratch the surface of what you have collected. I especially like the little ceramic bird that's in your header. Your tin redo is just terrific--paint color and decal.

Hi Becca,

Your collection of blue birds is so charming. They fit so well into your vintage/cottage style decor. I really love the pretty embroided linen with the blue birds also. What a lucky find for you.

Hope all is well with you. Take care and have a great weekend.

Adorable blue birds! I have a sweet little salt like yours but her little mate pepper must have flown the coop. She was flying solo when I found her in a flea market.
