You all are the sweetest!!
You saw that little footnote on the last post and left me the warmest get well wishes!! Thank you!! (I had a pretty big health scare, but it now appears to be something quite minor that is causing the problems ~~ I am rejoicing, along with my family!! :)
Thanks also for all the kind comments on our living room, I enjoyed sharing it with you. Wish you could all visit in person; what fun conversations we'd enjoy!!

Yesterday, this little guy left the *nest*. Okay, he's not this little anymore, but this photo is a good representation of the speed at which he grew up ~ whoosh!
He moved into his own college apartment yesterday.
I'm trying to focus on this big room I now have in the basement -- it will become an exercise/game room!! (Which do you think I'll do more of, exercising or gaming? ;)
Best Wishes, Bradley, I am SO proud of you!!

In other news, I made my very first Craigslist purchase today!! Just wait 'til you see what I bought, and how I transform it!! (hmmm, could it involve painting something WHITE? ;)
Hope you are enjoying a lovely holiday weekend!

I understand that empty nest feeling. Although my sons are 6 years apart in age, they both moved away within 3 months of each other. And they moved far away...One was in NYC and the other in L.A. and we were left in the middle of the country. Five years later, I am still trying to redo their rooms into something for myself. I just sold their childhood bunkbeds last week!!! LOL

Hi Becca....I was thinking of you as we drove through I-70 on our way back home from St Louis. I have not checked blogs while I was gone so I did not know you were sick. Glad to hear it was minor but things like that are always scary! I know how you are feeling when one of the "babies" leaves the nest....mine are all gone now. Enjoy your holiday weekend!

Glad you are feeling better Becca. You do know if he is anywhere close he will still expect his space in the house whenever he pops back in, right? And, he'll probably bring others with him! I do wish him well. My youngest son is a junior in college this year (accounting).

Oh Becca!
I am so thrilled to hear that you are doing better, and it was nothing serious, just a scare. Your little one has left home. Time goes by so fast, and they grow so quickly. It will take some getting used to. You will find yourself calling his name, and then realizing he isn't there. Have fun with that basement. I can't wait to see what you have purchased on Craigslist. White most definitely. Stop by and say hi. Country hugs, Sherry

Wishing a great year for Brad, and lots of fun as he fixes up his first place.
So, so glad you didn't get a frightening report back on yourself.
So what did you get from Craigslist? My mind is swimming with guesses.
Hugs,
Lallee
