The tree is decorated!

The 9 ft tree in the living room, that is. I wanted it to have a vintage feel this year, so I used nearly 1000 vintage glass ornaments, strands of old mercury glass beads, colored lights, and old-fashioned icicles! I want to add my vintage Santa collection 'neath the bottom too.... we'll see :)

Thanks so much for all your well-wishes, thoughts and prayers for my stepdad. Each and every one are much appreciated!

Your tree is so pretty! I am admiring the vintage icicles! I remember having these on our childhood trees. Mom was very picky about the way we put them on- they had to be just right!! It makes me want to go out and find some for my tree!

Lovely tree, I love big trees, you don't see them that often around these parts. That's a lot of ornaments, too.
Have a nice holiday..

Becca, I too go MIA in regards to the blog world. Your tree is beautiful! I too put up a vintage ornament (Shiny Brite) tree, but did not count the ornaments:-). I also did not think of putting tinsel on the tree. It did need something else - during the year I will try to find some vintage garland.
Loved reading all your previous posts. Prayers for your stepdad's recovery. All your Christmas decor is beautiful!

OH, I just love your tree. My tree is similar (yours is narrower ~ which I love). But, the icicles add a good touch. Maybe next year, I will try that. Thx for the inspiration.

Merry Christmas to you and your family,
Kitty
