More Extravaganza Finds!! It's hard for me to resist anything with this shade of blue..... this vase was no exception........ and this little child's tin cup and saucer, which has a sweet fairy on it... well, it had to come home with me!
.... along with this gorgeous lace whooziwhatzit..... too big for a head covering.... shaped more like a toaster cover ~ but would a toaster cover be this frilly and romantic and beautiful? Perhaps!
Of course, I had to put the vase to immediate use with some peonies, roses, and honeysuckle from my garden.....
A perfect spring bouqet!!
Stop by tomorrow for more flea market finds! :)

.....& the mystery goes on!! LOL!!

Hi Becca!

Pretty things you found here. I have a thing similar to your whooziewhatsit. It is pieces of layered lace, and has the same shape. I was told it was used in the 50's to wear to bed over your curlers. That would explain why it's so purty! thanks for sharing your pretty finds. Come by and say hello. :)

Oh my goodness! You're the gal who has the beautiful cottage kitchen pictures on Flickr that I love, and you have an equally beautiful blog! I'm going to take my time and read your whole blog, from the beginning!
Have a good day,

You have peonies in your garden? Sigh. I am turning green with envy. I had not even seen a Peonie in "real life" until last summer when I found bunches of them at a local market. I was in Heaven walking around the store! They are my favorite flower! You are so lucky!
I'm thinkin' on that lacey frilly item . . . what could it be? It sure is pretty whatever it is!

Beautiful finds! Could the lacy blue thing be a hairdryer cover up? You know the home hairdryers
from the '60's?
