Studio Sneaky PeekyOur oldest son, Andrew (the sports fanatic, not the musician :) moved out last weekend. While I will miss him greatly, he only moved about 20 minutes away, so for that I am thankful. AND for the fact that I can now have my studio!
I hope the speed at which I transferred his room didn't make him feel bad! LOL!! (you know I love you, Andrew!! :)
But ~ Oh, am I ever having fun!!!!!! My much-dreamt-of studio at longlast! We immediately painted the walls "Paris Pink", replaced the chandy, etc. More to come as I progress!!

Hello Becca,
You've got a great start on your room. It took me a little bit to get the idea for my studio. I felt like you did, I didn't want my son to feel
like he didn't have a place. At first
he came home a lot and was homesick now well we hardly see him, he's in his forth year at UC Merced. My how time flies...Can't wait to see how your studio turns out. Keep us posted
and I love the color Pinkie Denise

Thanks for your comment about my son and his dinosaur video. I had so much fun visiting your blog! Wow, you sure did a quick transformation! Hope he doesn't want to move back, but if he does, I guess he will have pink walls!

Becca, how wonderful. We did the same when our youngest moved out---it's now a huge bathroom and part of it is my walk in closet. Can't wait to see the finished room, which I'm sure will be gorgeous. Hugs, Pat

Lucky you to have a studio!!! I'd be just as quick to take over the space if I had a spare room.

It looks lovely so far!

Enjoy your studio. Like Shannon said they do come back. Each of our 4 moved out and came back now and then. We have been complete empty nesters for 6 months now and i still can't get used to it.

That is so funny! I think he probably understands,I'm sure he feels just as excited about moving into his own place. I have three boys and I will be doing the same thing when the time comes! Your room is looking good.

That reminds me of the day after our daughter got married, we took her bedroom over as ours as she did have the master suite. So I totally get it. Don't you just love Paris Pink, we painted our bedroom that color.

Hugs,
LeAnn:)

Hey, we've all done it... the kids leave and we get all sad... umm, like for a few minutes and then we're off transforming their rooms.
Have fun! You deserve your own space!

My mother always said, a women needs her own purse. I think that is good advice, but I would like to add, a women needs her own space, enjoy. I read your blog often, so I will be watching the progress..
