Nikki Doll

When I received Nikki's name as my Secret Santa recipient, I decided to make something special for her.....A doll created from a photograph of her..... Nikki is quite photogenic, so I had several photos to choose from that would work well for my project.... I made the photo "sepia-toned" to give it a vintage effect.

I added some German scrap to serve as her "head-dress".....

A vintage crochet lace piece serves as the skirt.... I tried to position it to look as though she is holding up her skirt in a ladylike fashion.....
Some vintage tinsel, a rose bouqet, and a floral paper base complete the project........
What fun!!
Next time, I'll share more goodies that I sent to her.
Thanks for visiting!!

Becca, that was the most creative idea and what a treasured keepsake to have from a friend. You did a wonderful job and the holding up the skirt is the sweetest. It does look exactly like she is holding it up. Can't wait to see the rest!

OMG Becca! This is gorgeous! You should definitely submit this to one of the "Somerset" publications! I've seen this style in their issues but this one is beautiful and makes some sense! You did an excellent job! Of course it does help that she is a pretty lady too! Have a great weekend - Sincerely, Jeannette
