My mother and I held a garage sale last weekend...... Of course, we just had to *shop* each other's treasures!
Here is a picture of the pretties I came home with:
a pair of white cutwork pillowcases; a little embroidered towel; lace curtain panels; and (my favorite find of the day) vintage cameo jewelry!

Beautiful! I have to ask you this question - do you subscribe to Romantic Homes? If so, do you like the new changes to it? I don't - it looks too slick for my taste.

Just wanted to let you know that I've linked to your blog from mine. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Hi Terri! Yes, I do subscribe to Romantic Homes, and I am also very disappointed in the changes. Everyone I talk to about it feels the same way. I'm glad I kept all my old issues so I can still enjoy them! :)
Also, have you seen the premier issue of Romantic Living (by the publisher's of Country Decorating Ideas). I think you'll like it; it is romantic and pretty!!
Thanks for visiting & linking my blog! Hope you have a good weekend as well!

I sent an e-mail to the editors when they made those changes but to no avail (obviously!). And, no, I havent seen Romantic Living yet. I'll try to pick up a copy this weekend if possible.

I don't know why all these publishers have to ruin perfectly good magazines - first Victoria, now Romantic Homes!

Terri, I sent an e-mail to them as well (I think it was when the March issue came out).... they seem to only respond to the e-mails that praise the changes. (sigh)
Oh, Victoria, another favorite of mine! I have most of the older issues and still love to browse through them....... That was a beautiful publication at one time.

I wish that I'd had the forethought to hang onto my copies of Victoria but they went to the recycling center a few years back during a decluttering spell. Oh, well - perhaps I'll run across some old issues while I am out yard-saling!

Your new treasures are beautiful. I too have collected as many Victoria magazines as I could. I suscribed to it for a couple of years and that helped. What a beautiful publication that was. Too bad they stopped publishing it. Romantic Homes is a favorite too..but I haven't bought one for about a year...I'm trying to be good...=)
