"After"

"Before"

A little shelf I saw at Goodwill, and was tempted to pass up because it was cheap-looking. But it was also "cheap" -- as in $1.59, and I thought it might look nice with a coat of paint.
So I brought it home, painted it, and then decided to put some *vintage wallpaper* on the inside back (actually a copy I made of an old hatbox lid)......
It will hang in the kitchen.

Tomorrow is a nearby city-wide garage sale, so we hope to go to that. I usually find some neat things at that one, so I hope to have some more finds to share later this weekend. (oh please don't rain-please don't rain-please don't rain- :)

Wow, for $1.59, you turned it inti something that someone would buy for $150! It looks gorgeous. You would never guess in a million years that you got it for under two bucks! Great job!

What a wonderful job. I probably would have walked past it. The paper was great. Could we have a peek one day of where it is in the kitchen, I'm so curious!!

Wow, $1.59 and it has glass doors? You made it beautiful too.

Beautiful little cabinet! Please post a pic of where you hang it. Isn't it amazing what a little paint can do?

Your little pic as a child is adorable. Thanks for sharing with me the story behind it!

Hope you had a great weekend!
